Full Description

Circa 1827: Coin hoard (? of Edward III, AD 1327-1377) from Saxtead. "A short time since as some workmen, in the employment of (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), in this county, were at work in a field in his occupation they discovered a quantity of silver coins of the reign of Edward the Third, about 75 in number" (S1). Probably from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) (S2).
Listed in (S3), deposited 1351 (- late 14th century?).
