Full Description

Two items found metal detecting the footpath between the (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). A C13 gilt bronze hooked fitting, and a coin weight for Edward III are recorded. Details in (S1).
NGR possibly too far S(?).
2005: further detector finds include Lead flat circular seal matrix, with perforated lug on upper edge of reverse, reading + S' Ioh'IS FIL' or (translation) Seal of John son of Peter (impression retained) and gilt buckle plate fragment of C13th (digital photograph held by NWHCM. Finds from somewhere on field (S2).
Also occasional undated and post Med finds.
