Full Description

Cylindrical "bit-spacer" made up of three rings of six rounded points each; overhanging rim at top and bottom from Suffolk in Birmingham City museums. Maximum diameter 4.5cm, height 2-5cm. Purchased from Birmingham Archaeological Society 1957, ex Barnett bequest, ex Acton collection (S1).
This may be a continental piece - e.g. the stolen Clouston collection from Devises and Winchester museums which largely derived from German and Bavarian pieces in the Zimmerman collection.
