Full Description

Coin hoard of 165 silver pennies, deposited 1190s-1205, between two sheets of lead, about 9 inches long by six inches wide, were found in 1850 by a mason repairing some steps 'at the base of the Barbican of Framlingham Castle' (S1)(S2)(R1-R4). Further details in (S2).
