Full Description
Large scatter & span of Roman pottery found on surface (resulting from rabbit workings) between circa 1997 & 2003. Pottery consists of over 200 sherds grey ware (C1-C4); circa 20 Nene Valley colour coat (Late C3-C4); 6 Oxford ware (C4); 18 shell tempered (C3-C4); 24 Horningsea ware; 10 samian (C2-C3); 5 Much Hadham ware (C3-C4); a few oxidised and white coarse wares; 1 West Stow ware and 1 box tile & 3 tegula fragments. Also 1 coin of Probus. Details in (S1).
