Extent of manor contained in manuscript in British Museum. 956 &1086: Manor of 2 carvcates belonging to the Abbot of St Edmunds. 1539: William Rede Owns. 16th century: Corporation of Beccles owns (S2).
Printworks demolished 2003, site now occupied by Supermarket. During these works, a desktop survey and subsequent monitoring was undertaken.
