Full Description
Human skull (and skeleton?) exposed during construction of landing berths 'just under mud level' by propeller turbulence which 'had strippped the foreshore down to original material leaving a grinning skull exposed'. Decided as 'over 100 years old' by police, CID and coroners. Said, by 'Suffolk Archaeological Society' (Suffolk Institute?) to be between 400 and 600 years old (on what basis?) and to be in pristine condition. S1. Details (requested November 2004) from coroners report to follow. S2
