Full Description
A single E-W linear bank to the south of WRW 028. Runs along the 4200b and 4200d boundary, 2.5m wide, 0.5m high. Probably marking S boundary of Newheath Plantation as marked on 1904 OS map (S2). May continue further to east?
Possibly marking N edge of wood belt shown on Tithe map (1840).
September 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A series of earthwork banks, most likely post medieval in date, are seen on visualised lidar data (S3). The above banks have been recorded as part of WRW 089 along with further banks identified by this survey. The monument polygon has been amended to correlate with the location of the features from the lidar data.
