Full Description

Low spread earthwork bank, circa 25m wide by 50 cm high, marking line of Oldtoys Belt (between arable fields as marked on 1880s OS map (S1).

August 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Earthwork banks, of a probable post medieval date are seen on visualised lidar data (S2). The banks most likely relate to post medieval boundary banks with the large bank at TL 7995 7404 recorded on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (S3) relating to “Oldtoys belt”. The large sections of bank at TL 7995 7404 were presumably recorded from field visits (see above) with the further small banks (centred at TL 8004 7401) identified and mapped by this survey.
J.Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th August 2019.
