Full Description
Deer park recorded 1492 (S1)(S2)(S3)(S6). Possibly associated with Chevington Hall which sits on the site of a medieval moat with medieval building remains (CHV 003 and CHV 021).
"Park Wood" (CHV 009) is marked on 1st edition OS map which may indicate the location of the park. Also "Chevington Lodge Farm" (S4). Chevington Hall (CHV 003) and Chevington Lodge (CHV 016) also shown on Hodskinson's 1783 map (S5).
