Full Description

Fieldwalking surveys 1983/1984: Scatter of pottery, Ipswich ware sherds mainly from E of the area, several of them burnt. Thetford type ware mainly to the N. A couple of possible ESax sherds also found.
February 1985: Further Ipswich & Thetford ware sherds (S1).
1987: Finds from metal detecting surveys include:- caterpillar brooch (M/LSax), box mount (LSax), 2 balloon-headed pins (?Sax/ Rom), pin with medial banded head (M/LSax), 2 cut farthings (LSax, one of circa 1062-1065), silver penny fragment of Eadgar (959-973) and a cut halfpenny of Cnut (circa 1030-1035). 1989: Strap end (?LSax/EMed) metal detected (S5).
