Full Description

Fieldwalking surveys 1983/1984: Scatter of pottery (S1). Early Medieval wares (S2).
1985: Further C12/C13 pottery and fragments of quern stones & pottery lamp (?Med). Details in (S1).
Finds from metal detecting surveys (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) include:-
1987: 7 coins & cut coins from circa 1100-1307, a forgery coin, buckles (5), a tinned bell, box fitting, large spherical headed pin and a ring brooch.
1988: Strap end plate, crotal bell and two large fired clay pipe/tuyere end fragments. Details in (S4).
1989: Strap or belt fitting (S5). Details in (S4).
