Full Description
2011: Geophysical survey identified numerous anomalies indicative of former cut and banked features, including a circular former cut feature. Small pit type features were also seen, as well as negative halos which could possibly be small scale sand quarrying or former small ponds (S2).
An evaluation identified prehistoric enclosures and a single Roman ditch, the latter corresponding to an enclosure identified during a geophysical survey. Further enclosures were dated to the medieval period and one of these contained a large pit which produced possible industrial material. Undated ditches were also present, along with finds attesting to the use of the area by the military in the 20th century.
