Monument record WSW 158 - Two areas of undated possible low ridges.

Please read our .

Summary

Two areas of possible low ridges, of an unknown date, are seen as earthworks on visualised lidar data. It is possible that these ridges may have related to an area of possible medieval to post medieval ridge and furrow or possibly post medieval tree planting. Two parallel banks can be seen within the area of ridges which run approximately east-west and are cut by a further bank aligned approximately north-south. These banks most likely relate to post medieval boundary banks. The bank features and both areas of low ridges are not seen on the First Edition Ordnance Survey Map.
