Full Description

Late Bronze Age-Early Iron Age cropmarks of field systems and enclosures (S1)(S2)(S4) (S10). Not a Rom marching camp as was previously suggested (S5).
Radiocarbon dating of peat from the evaluation and excavation indicates that the fields system / enclosures were of Late Bronze Ahe - Early Iron Age in date.
A dense area of burnt flints found on surface at TM 1441 7848 (S3).

Iceni Pattern-Horse coin found metal detecting in area of cropmark enclosure. Predominantly Rom finds (S6).
Fieldwalking, metal detecting & trenching assessment produced only two possible IA pottery sherds, terret ring fragment, probably mid C1, also found (S7).
