Full Description
1978: Coins found circa 3 inches below surface over surface of a mound, possibly redeposited from (marl?) pit (see Un). Found with metal detector and retained by finder: Dupondius of Claudius (AD 41- 54 RIC67; AS of Domitian (AD 86) RIC 340 (or 397); dupondius of Trajan (AD 103- 111) RIC520; as Antoninus Pius (AD 140- 144) RIC 733; dupondius Antoninus Pius; sestertius of ? Faustina senior; probably C2 unidentified; Claudius Gothicus C3; Ae3 C4; Urbs Roma (AD 330- 337).
1980: Further coins: AS of Antonina, AS(?) of Domitian, dupondius of ? Antoninus Pius, dupondius of ?Trajan, & coin of Valentinian. Also Med short cross cut penny of John (?) & two PMed coins & button.
