Full Description

Round barrow, diameter 40 feet.
In 1906 a small urn found a little to E of centre, in a rabbit burrow. In 1914 oak charcoal and sherds of urn.
In 1914 excavation, SW of centre three urns found, centre one was large and was inverted over cremation of newly born child and ? female; other two urns, one broken, other a food vessel; close to centre a broken urn and charcoal; near SE edge broken urn; potsherds of urns and corded beaker on E side. Burnt sherds on SE and NW sides. Also 1,169 flint flakes and 240 flint and stone artefacts recorded from barrow mound (S1).
