Full Description

Coin hoard, scattered. 117 coins, range Gallienus - Tetricus with one very clipped denarius, probably deposited in 270s. Finds centred at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), which is S of possible building visible on AP. Other finds include coins (one ? Vespasian, two Constantine I) and two bow brooch fragments, one a Hod Hill type. Found metal detecting (S1). A further 22 coins, same date, from the hoard area. Also coins of Vespasian, Faustina, Magnentius and a terminal (S2).
Feb 1998: 4 bronze coins C3-4th, bronze terminal / handle 2 dolphin shaped, pottery and boxtile fragment, see details (S3).
March 1998: 11 bronze coins C3-4th, 2 bronze brooch fragments (S4)
