Full Description

`Small (circa 4 inches long) square headed brooch, complete except pin. Dot design around head'. Found by [the late] John King in 1981 with a metal detector `beside footpath', SE of Rom site, (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) approximately (S1). Area heavily metal detected in 1970s and early 1980s by various unknown persons. No other Sax material known.
1990: ESax T-shaped bow brooch with lugs at ends of arms and transverse incised decoration. Continental supporting arm type, first half of C5. Found metal detecting by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S2)(S3).
