The 'barn' at The Limes is a timber-framed and rendered outbuilding of the late-15th or 16th century, represents a rare and historically important detached kitchen.

Hall House, timber framed, C14-C15, with N and S cross wings. Listed Building.

Med pottery scatter, including five C13 rims, eight C13/C14 rims, and 142 Med sherds found during fieldwalking survey by R Colchester (S1) (S2).

1619 map of Hoxne New Park (see HXN 022) shows an isolated building in a small rectangular enclosure in the middle of the northern part of the park.

Originally a barn like structure dating to the late-15th or 16th century it was later converted into a pair of domestic tenements in the 17th century.

Cropmarks of irregular enclosures (farmstead?) and trackway.

Historic Building Report of a 20th century red brick barn. Marked as a malthouse on the 1886 OS map. An unusual number of original features have been preserved including a purpose built Tudor kiln.
