A prehistoric burnt mound and pond were found during archaeological investigations as well as large quantitites of burnt flint spread across the site and residual in later features.

A concentric ring ditch, probably the remains of a barrow of Bronze Age date, is visible as a cropmark to the west of Lodge Farm, Foxhall parish.

Archaeological evaluation and subsequent excavation revealed a concentric ring ditch and seven cremation burials, two of which were urned.
