Full Description

Settlement area, late Neo/EBA, post holes, a pit, pottery - late Neo with some beaker material, arrowheads, borer and knife, scrapers, cores, waste flakes.
Cremation in a small pit, mature adult, possibly male, Radio Carbon date 1340 +/- 130 BC (HAR - 1153) from charcoal (?alder) in pit, but sample very small. Not definitely contemporary with settlement evidence but both were sealed by marsh clay, probably laid down in MBA/IA. Excavated by E Martin, 1974 (S5).
TM 1333 4434 pottery and flints excavated by J J Wymer, 1972. TM 1346 4431 scraper found by R Forsdike.
TM 1331 4425 sharpened sheep's tibia (similar to SPT 009), distal end sharpened, proximal end pierced for suspension, polished by use, shows parallel scratch marks, found by R Forsdike.
